I haven't bought this toy yet but it looks pretty kool.
I was wondering if you could just make plain old movies and forget the singing all together? Because i dn't think they sell the regualr digital blues anymore.

ok, everyone: I didn't buy this, but it is the exact same thing as the digital blue that was for sale in earlier years! I have the digital blue, and it the exact same camera exept for the logo!!! Sinse it wast made by intel like the D.B was, isn't that plagarism?

Customer Rating: - Really fun for American Idol junkies
This is a really great product for older kids and teens. My kids (6, 9 and 11) had a ton of fun shooting with the camera and recording songs. But they were really into the software because it let them edit their own footage with video right from episodes of American Idol, not this season but last. They can put their own video of themselves singing, right on the stage from the show! Plus they really got into creating crowd cheers and applause for their own performance...more cheers than they get at home or in school. This will be a big hit for kids and teens, and probably a lot of older fans of the show too.
